Celebrating the One-Year Milestone

There are several reasons why you might choose to skip the cake smash... but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate this special time with an adorable photo session anyways! A few of my clients have had some great ideas for alternatives to the cake smash, and I wanted to share them with you.

First up, forget the frosting! Let's get messy with some paint! This sweet family brought a canvas and paint so they could get some cute photos of their little artist and walk away with a souvenir made by their baby. I love this idea so much!

My next client wanted a "summer picnic" kind of theme for their June baby. They brought some watermelons, I provided the rest. This was such a great idea for any summer theme photos!

The best thing about milestone sessions is that you can get super creative with them... and they aren't just for baby's first birthday! Celebrate your 30th birthday with a champagne spray shoot.
