I do love capturing a family in their first few weeks with a new baby. I had the joy of photographing this beautiful family and their six-week-old baby boy at Bear Creek Park in Keller, TX, and it was pure magic.


Even though the weather was on the warmer side (Texas fall, anyone?), we kept the session short, sweet, and perfectly paced for their little one. The changing leaves gave us a gorgeous backdrop, and the soft evening light wrapped this family in the most beautiful glow; exactly the kind of warmth every new parent wants to remember.


One of the reasons I adore weeknight sessions is the peacefulness they offer. Normally, Bear Creek Park is buzzing with families, walkers, and photographers, but on this quiet weekday evening, we practically had the place to ourselves. It gave us the space to slow down, enjoy the moment, and focus on what really matters: love, connection, and this sweet baby boy being welcomed into the world.


Every season of family life is special, but those early weeks with a newborn are fleeting. Gentle snuggles, tiny hands, sleepy smiles. They don’t stay this small for long. I’m honored to help families preserve these treasured moments with timeless, heartfelt portraits.
