I've been doing a lot of in-home newborn sessions lately! For this sweet family, their dog proudly stepped into the role of big sister, keeping a close eye on her new baby brother and stealing a few kisses along the way.


We kept things simple, using natural light and just a couple of rooms. Baby preferred being held, while mom and dad soaked up every moment, and their furry family member made sure she wasn't left out. In fact, I am pretty sure the pup thought that I was there just for her. At one point, I was taking photos of the baby at the foot of the bed and after mom and dad picked him up, the pup took his place as if to say, "my turn!" It was super cute.


In-home newborn sessions like this are some of my favorites to photograph. They're cozy, personal, and full of love.
