Fort Worth's boutique family photographer.
From a hidden lake tucked inside a 246-acre northwest park to the electric energy of Sundance Square, Fort Worth offers more variety for portrait photography than almost anywhere else in the metroplex. I photograph families, newborns, maternity, and seniors here with intention and heirloom artwork in mind.
Why Fort Worth
A city as big and bold as the art it deserves.
Fort Worth is a city that knows who it is. It has the energy and ambition of a major metropolis and the warmth and grit of a place that has always been unapologetically Texas. For portrait photography, that combination is extraordinary. You can go from a quiet, tree-lined lake at a sprawling community park to the polished streets of Sundance Square to a graffiti-covered industrial landmark that has been turning heads for decades, all within the same city.
I love photographing families and seniors in Fort Worth because there is genuinely something here for everyone. Families who want wide open spaces and soft natural light. Seniors who want something bold and completely unlike anyone else's portraits. Couples expecting their first baby who want a session that feels as significant as the moment they are in. Fort Worth delivers all of it.
As always, what I am working toward in every session I photograph is heirloom artwork for your home. Something that earns a permanent place on your walls and tells your family's story in the most beautiful way possible.
What I Offer in Fort Worth
Every season of life, beautifully documented.
Fort Worth families and seniors deserve portraits as distinctive as the city itself. Here is what a session with me looks like at every stage of life.
Fort Worth Family Photography
Fort Worth family sessions are some of my favorites to photograph, and a big part of that is the sheer variety this city offers. Northwest Community Park gives us wildflower fields, a hidden lake with a waterfall, and golden-hour light that comes through the trees in a way that is genuinely hard to replicate anywhere else. It is the kind of setting where kids can run, parents can breathe, and real moments happen naturally.
My approach to family sessions is always unhurried and relaxed. I guide your family gently through the session without rigid posing, watching for the authentic moments that become the art you will want on your walls for decades. The result is a collection of images that looks and feels like your family, captured in a place that is unmistakably Fort Worth.
Lifestyle Newborn Photography in Fort Worth
Lifestyle newborn sessions take place in your Fort Worth home, in the light and quiet of the rooms where your baby will grow up. There is no studio, no travel with a days-old newborn, and no setup that feels unfamiliar or stressful. I come to you, and I work around your baby's schedule and your family's rhythm.
What I photograph in these sessions are the things that go by so fast it almost hurts to think about later. The way your newborn sleeps on your chest. Tiny fingers wrapped around a sibling's thumb. The peaceful stillness of those first quiet mornings. Every detail becomes artwork that your family will return to for the rest of your lives.
Fort Worth newborn sessions are best scheduled one to three weeks after your due date. Reaching out during your second trimester is the best way to secure your spot.
Fort Worth Maternity Photography
Fort Worth is a beautiful city for maternity sessions. The wildflower fields and lakeside setting at Northwest Community Park are especially stunning for this kind of photography, offering soft, open light and wide natural backdrops that feel both intimate and expansive. The park's waterfall and fishing dock add visual interest without ever competing with the person being photographed.
I guide every maternity session with care and intention, making sure you feel comfortable, confident, and completely yourself at every moment. The goal is always the same: to create portraits that honor the season you are in and produce artwork that lives beautifully in your home long after your baby has grown.
Fort Worth Senior Portrait Photography
Fort Worth is one of the most exciting cities in DFW for senior portrait sessions, and the range of locations available here is a significant part of why. A senior who wants something warm and natural will love Northwest Community Park. A senior who wants something polished and downtown will feel right at home around Sundance Square. And a senior who wants something completely unlike anyone else in their graduating class might just be the right fit for the Echo Lake Incinerator.
No two Fort Worth senior sessions look alike, because no two seniors are alike. I choose the location based on your student's personality, their style, and the artwork you want to end up with. Every session is personal, unhurried, and designed to produce portraits that actually look like the person in them.
Signature Locations
Where we will create your session in Fort Worth
Fort Worth has more range for portrait photography than almost anywhere in the DFW area. Here are three locations I know and love, each offering something genuinely distinct.
Northwest Community Park
Signature Location
At 246 acres, this is one of Fort Worth's largest and most visually varied parks, and it is my personal favorite location in the city for portrait sessions. The park features a hidden lake with a waterfall, wildflower fields, a fishing dock, natural hiking trails, and public art installations scattered throughout the grounds. There is genuinely something for every kind of session here.
Insider tip: This park can get very busy on weekends during peek photo seasons. Weeknights are best during the fall and spring months if you wish to avoid crowds.
Sundance Square
Urban + Polished
The heart of downtown Fort Worth, Sundance Square is one of the most beautifully maintained urban spaces in all of North Texas. Warm brick streets, elegant architecture, covered plazas, and a striking central fountain make it an exceptional location for senior portraits and urban family sessions with a polished, editorial feel.
The variety of surfaces and light sources in and around the square gives us real flexibility within a single session, and the downtown energy adds a sense of place and character that is hard to replicate anywhere else. Early morning and weekday sessions tend to give us the most space and the most usable light.
Echo Lake Incinerator
Creative + Industrial +Daytime Only
This location is not for everyone, and that is exactly the point. This striking red brick structure has become one of the most visually compelling and singular portrait locations in the city.
It is an especially popular choice for seniors who want something bold, creative, and completely their own. The raw industrial setting makes for portraits that stop people in their tracks.
Important note: I only schedule Incinerator sessions during daytime hours. The lighting is significantly better in the day, and it is simply the safer and more comfortable option for everyone involved. If you are drawn to this location, plan for a daytime session and we will make the most of the incredible light it offers.
"We just had our family fall pictures taken by Amanda and wow, they are beautiful. We took them at golden hour and she knew all the right angles with the sun peeking through the trees to get that perfect shot. She is sweet and accommodating and quick, which my two guys greatly appreciated."
